In his opening speech, the Caretaker President Director of PT Semen Gresik, Muchamad Supriyadi, explained that the event constituted the application of Quality Management Standards ISO 37001:2016 on Anti-Bribery Management Systems (SMAP).

“Individuals at Semen Gresik are given the understanding of anti-gratification and anti-corruption in the corporate environment. It is the employees’ part to display capability, loyalty, and integrity to the company,” he explained in his press release on Friday, June 2, 2023.

Supriyadi added that the event was the company’s commitment to maintaining the spirit of anti-gratification and anti-corruption by establishing Good Corporate Governance (GCG).

“We hope that the culture of anti-gratification and anti-corruption becomes a part of the employees’ attitude and behavior daily. Surely this will require the support of all fronts, from the leaders to the employees. [Say] no to gratification and corruption, [say] yes to professionalism,” he concluded.

The event's main speaker, the Head of the Task Force for the Gratification Control Program at KPK, Mutiara Carina Rizky Artha, explained how gratification and corruption would always be present in individuals’ lives, whether on a large scale or a small one.

“This is about how an individual must be able to address [the issue] well by confidently rejecting or avoiding any potential case of gratification and corruption, both in the corporate environment and their daily life,” she stated.

She added that with the culture of anti-gratification and anti-corruption, an individual would have peace of mind in their life, which might become their motivation to contribute their best to the company.
